Blackburn vehicle refurbishment specialists Bus and Coach World have seen a rise in the number of coaches requiring makeovers.

Traditionally, the family-run company has worked with more buses since it was set up in 2007, but an increase in coach repair contracts has enabled the firm to put its varied skills to good use.

The cost of updating and repairing old and damaged coaches is a fraction of the price of new vehicles – companies can pay as little as 20% of the expense of replacing their fleet.

Managing director Philip Hilton MBE said: “As our business expands we’re relishing the opportunity to take on new contracts and develop our customer base. Focusing on the coach industry is a natural progression for us, and we’re delighted with the work we’ve carried out in this area.”
